
Kevin G. Nuñez is a dynamic advocate and leader committed to creating a more inclusive world for people with disabilities. With a decade of hands-on experience and a background shaped by his journey with cerebral palsy, Kevin has become a prominent voice in the self-advocacy movement.
As the Vice Chair of the New Jersey Council on Developmental Disabilities, Mr.Nuñez played a pivotal role in developing five-year plans and led the grants committee, where he retooled the mini-grant program and implemented a new scoring system to ensure grants aligned with the Council’s mission.
In their current role as the Regional Representative for Self-Advocates Becoming Empowered (SABE), Kevin works to amplify the voices of self-advocates across the Mid-Atlantic states. He recently organized and hosted the 2024 Regional Conference and helped overhaul the organization’s website.
Mr. Nuñez’s influence extends beyond committee work. As the Coalition Chair for the #YesAccess campaign, He is at the forefront of a national movement, unifying diverse organizations and grassroots leaders to mobilize support. His impact has been recognized at the highest levels, including being a guest of honor for Senator Andy Kim at the U.S. Congress and a speaker at the Biden-Harris celebration of the Olmsted Decision.
